Blessed Week to You!
I’ll be 61 on July 12, 2009, and am now ‘feeling my way’ on my laptop–not familiar with much of what I see, like ‘blogs’ etc.
However, I am enjoying ‘Your Mail’–I find them very inspirational, and enlightening, and share ’some’ with my friends.

Good post! And to think that we were just like that moldy (no ‘u’, for us on this side of the pond!) briefcase, when Jesus found us and cleaned us up, so that He could use us.

God loves us with an everlasting love and has drawn us with a loving kindness. Praise the Lord!

First of all, I thank the Lord for loving me and teaching me how to love Him back. Apart from Him, I won’t understand what this love is really all about.

Second, the greatest demonstartion was when Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

Great post. I appreciate your connection to what we all have been guilty of, using inappropriate humor. Note the use of one u, bet you can’t guess where I am writing from.
I like your analogy using the word humor. As is written in the word, “all things in moderation”. It is all about balance. Jesus kept everything in the right perspective. He did not allow his followers to get out of balance.
It is always a blessing to read what God is saying through you.

Thank you Catherine. For our own expereince I can identify with your situation.

I have sometimes felt that hearing or reading all the different approaches to healing from various ministries, although helpful, can be confusing. I believe that CFS/ME comes in a variety of forms along with a whole variety of possible root causes – although I think trauma and loss may be fairly common. I believe we need to try and hear ourselves what God is saying to us in our particular situation. This may be difficult when experiencing fatigue, but maintaining intimacy with Him is essential to following our own healing journey.

Having said all that, I believe two combined approaches are paramount: 1. acceptance and absolute surrender to God in the illness on the on hand plus 2. Not to take it lying down – we are not victims!

I am still learning – very much so. It was good to hear from you.

thank you and so helpful seeing ‘Michelle’ and ‘wendikelly’ responses. My daughter now 9 and still I’m like this (CFS/ME) & sometimes husband is bewildered (spelling?), fed up, though mostly supportive and clinging to the Lord. Little ‘grace notes’ happen and truly we are defiinitely being carried by Him. Have believed and gone for every Christian theory/spiritual/emotional healing (have definitely grown! fortunately) – yet still knocked down by this – but then further surrender & peace happens. I know God wants me well, I just have to relax and trust his timing. Have found ‘unrelenting prayer’ by Bob Sorge & almost conversely ‘God wants you well’ by Andrew Wommack.. plus loads of others (and of course bible!) helpful..

I still find myself needing to work on loving and accepting myself 100%. It really is a process and not only our chldhood but events that occur in our lives shape how we feel about ourselves. It does bring peace to know that our Lord loves us just as we are and He created us!
Thank you for this reminder today that I need to check in with myself and make sure I am loving and forgiving myself.

This posting is so good, John. Whether we are sick or well we all need time to just be. Time to be still and know our God. Time to rest not only physically but mentallly and emotionally. Your words that we need to have a sense of being with nothing to prove really spoke to me.
